Our Process

Our goal is to make sure the remodeling process is easy and enjoyable with the end result not only meeting but exceeding expectations. The process normally includes the following steps:

THE ESTIMATE

Client contacts Two Poor Teachers with remodeling request and at the clients’ convenience, an estimate is scheduled with one of our project managers to review the job and develop an estimate.

*If the client has received other estimates and is ready to schedule a project then Two Poor Teachers will come out to your home with the Mobile Showroom to complete the project breakdown including design, materials and cost.

*If the client is in the initial stages of seeing what is involved in their project, we will come out with a few samples to give an idea of what is available.

SCHEDULING THE PROJECT

Once an agreement is reached, a deposit is required in order to schedule the project start date (normally 10% is required). NOTHING else due until the job is complete!

MATERIALS

If the customer chooses everything for their remodeling project from the Mobile Showroom, then they are DONE (90% of the time)! If they would like to shop for other products, Two Poor Teachers will guide them in the right direction.

If the materials are ordered through Two Poor Teachers then we will place the material order for the client and follow up to make sure materials are on-site for the remodeling project.

If the client orders their materials independent of Two Poor Teachers then they are responsible for having all materials on site on the first day of the job.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Materials are delivered on the first day of the job. The project manager walks through and discusses the job with the client and the crew leader.

On a daily basis the crew leader informs the project manager and the client regarding the job advances so that any potential issues are clarified and resolved.

Nearing completion of the job, the client is provided with a punch list that they may use in order to itemize any corrections that they feel are necessary.

PROJECT CLOSE-OUT

An invoice is created (usually 3-5 days) after the job is completed. The invoice is emailed and payment is respectfully requested within 5 days of receipt.

The client is provided with a job evaluation form –tell us how we did!! We take your feedback very seriously.

We WORK for YOUR REFERRALS! Refer us and if the individual chooses Two Poor Teachers as their contractor we will send a $150 Visa reward card.
